Volunteer Spotlight

On June 7, 2025 at the 43rd Annual Lemont Strawberry Festival, BHRS provided speeder rides to over 400 passengers! Some passengers chose to experience Gene Tucker’s and Joel William’s speeder pump cars.  Others enjoyed a peaceful ride through Lemont on an open air passenger wagon.  Power was provided by Andy and Liam Richards on one end and Clyde Smith and Rick Thomas on the other end.

Lemont Village Association Strawberry Festival

Summer is here, and what better way to celebrate than with a scenic train ride and a day full of family fun? On Sunday, July 13, 2025, the American Pioneer Train invites you to join us for a special summertime outing departing from the Bellefonte Train Station to Eagle Iron Works and Curtin Village (EIWCV).

🍂 Fall Rides

We’ve received many questions about our upcoming fall train rides, including when more information will be available and when tickets will go on sale. We’re glad so many of you are looking forward to riding with us this fall!

Right now, we are still working on the final details. This includes selecting destinations, planning layovers, and deciding on any special activities that may be included. We want to be sure everything is ready to roll before we make any announcements.

Thank you for your patience and for supporting our all-volunteer railroad. We look forward to sharing more very soon.
